Hidden Pond Lodge: Family Log Cabin on a Private Stocked Fishing Pond in Hochatown / Broken Bow

We love this cabin!! Fished, paddle boat, backyard games. Offsite: 18 holes at Cedar Creek, mini golf, go-karts, hiking, and rented a boat to go tubing. All were super fun! We did s’mores and the hot tub.

$20 for firewood, thank you! We really appreciate all the extras from the owners: K-pods, detergent, towels and blankets, all the dog stuff. It does not go unnoticed. We will definitely be back! <3 Thank you!

We have stayed in several houses over the years and this was one of our favorites. I loved the spaciousness of the property and there was so much to do. We all loved the fishing, paddle boats, tetherball competitions and ping pong tournaments. I loved the notes and instructions on how to use everything and the labels on all the light switches. We had an evening scavenger hunt for the seashells. What a great idea!

Our favorite place! We also loved the towels + blankets provided in the area by the fireplace.

We fished daily, played darts a lot, played ping pong a lot, played the tether ball, not so much the horseshoes. Did enjoy the hot tub. One day, we tubed on the river and grilled as much as we could. This was the perfect house for our vacation. Thank you for all the details and being so dog-friendly. All the extra watering bowls for our puppies were appreciated, as were the gates on the patio to make sure they were always with us but never got away.

A diverse group we are from Miniman, Louisiana, Marblehead, Massachusetts, and Houghton, Louisiana. Too many names to mention, but we’re a big happy family. Fished daily, did the pedal boat. It was great fun. Checked out grateful head pizza, the buffalo grill and hay sugar. Did the candy store and, of course, the famous petting zoo. Loved the ping pong and tether ball, made s’mores, loved everything about our stay!

Big group, we’re from Louisiana and Lake Charles and Iowa and New Orleans and Dallas. Boy, did we have a good time. This is a great cabin.

Seven men from all around Texas Didn’t do much, that was the point. We fished, ate a lot of meat, and drank a lot of beer and whiskey. We did stop by Papa’s Tacos. I guess that’s reality too.

Hey y’all. This is the Netherland and Hassett families. We’re from North Louisiana.

Besides the baseball, we fished daily in the pond! We went over to the petting zoo and Gutter Chaos. Of course, we had to run by Girls Gone Wine. We also checked out the Mountain Fork Brewery for dinner.

The next day, we did the Grateful Head Pizza, checked out the Ho Chi Town Saloon, the big lake for swimming, and lots and lots of baseball.

Hey everybody, we’re from the colony in Texas. We went to the Grateful head pizza, went on hikes, did swimming, and lots and lots and lots of pedal boating. Beautiful property. We caught the cutest little fish. Thank you.

We love this cabin and property, Gama. We saw geese in the pond, and they were flying, plus turtles, deer, ducks, cardinals, blue jays, and woodpeckers. Extraordinaire! We enjoyed everything the cabin has to offer, including the teepee and the ping pong. We brought our own kayaks and took them to the Carson Creek area. Great local food and hospitality. They even let us take the dogs over to the patio. Hiking the Friends Trail is an absolute must. What a great trip!

Cabin is amazing! Bonus is that it’s pet friendly. All the activities and amenities kept the kids very busy.

Wow, this is a great cabin, with all the different things to do. We saw some deer, went fishing, pedaled in the boat, played darts, tetherball, and had a bonfire. Of course, there was the hot tub. We did go into town a little bit, took a tiki boat tour, had pizza at Grateful Head, and even got in those go-karts. We had a great time. We love the bunk beds and the back porch.

Not much to say. It was the boys’ weekend away!

We visited the national park, took a ride on the Tiki boat, and we had a wonderful time. Brought a team of people, seven of us 😊 thank you for your wonderful hospitality. This place is awesome. God bless.

We took in Broken Bow Lake, walked through the spillway, hit Mountain Fort River and Beach (who knew there was a beach in Oklahoma), and caught fish from the pond out front of the house. Dad made lots of special food here, and we visited Ho Chi Town for fun and souvenirs.

We’re from Edmond, Oklahoma, and we just went fishing and fishing and more fishing. Used the pedal boat and the fire pit to roast hot dogs and marshmallows. Really had a great time.

We’re from Highland Village in Texas. All 10 of us played a lot of tetherball, corn hole, hot tubbing, fishing, pedal boating, and hanging out by the fire pit. We did finally leave the property for some zip lining, checked out the petting zoo and Buffalo City. Thank you! Your beautiful home did not disappoint; it is absolutely perfect.

Simply love the time spent at this cabin. Kids loved fishing and all the amenities. We caught a handful of sunfish, one striped bass at 2.5 lb, and one largemouth bass at 2.5 lb. We used live worms, from the local store. Kids loved the pedal boat, and the Pressa Italia was awesome. Wonderful cabin; we hope to return.

We’re from Denton and Bridgeport, Texas, we get together every year and this was an excellent destination for us. Found really good food at the Hochatown Saloon and pizza at Grateful Dead. We played all the games at the cabin, cooked our meals at the cabin. We had four cabins between 17 of us and HIdden Pond was our favorite. It was cozy and welcoming. We look forward to returning when the weather is a little bit warmer.

This is a great family friendly place, we were unsuccessful fishing this trip, but it was cold. Otherwise, we fished hiked, plate yard games, visited the brewery and hung out by the fire to stargaze.

Cabin and area are all amazing, everything we need. Play darts, fish (didn’t catch any) but to be for Bend State Park and check out the Heritage Central Museum.

We loved our stay in family time had a great Christmas. PS burned. Five logs left five dollars in the guest book went everywhere and even went did some downtown shopping and broken bow, which is about 15 minutes south of this cabin.

We’re from Dallas, we walked, Fish at a bonfire cooked and played a lot of games. Beautiful cabin.

Or from Dallas and Carrollton, Texas, tried almost everything in town and here at the cabin we saw deer and a possum, but we didn’t catch any fish…

Make sure you’re fish and take some walks, the playground and TP were lots of fun for the kids, but we did leave the property. We found gutter chaos is good for the family and loved the petting zoo. This is a beautiful cabin, you’ve thought of everything needed enough for all age, groups, and furry friends.

Perfect place to stay, stunning views, and the details are so cute. We loved the shell hunt and used five logs at the fire pit left five bucks in the guest book, we tried everything in town and every amenity you have to cabin kept us entertained. Thank you.

We’re visiting from Dublin, Texas, we brought our boat and spent lots of time on broken Bow Lake did some hiking, and then the evenings hung out at the fire pit here at the cabin.

Hiking at friends Trail, did the maze and the mining company plus the petting zoo and the safari, and of course, the fished on the deck. Everything was great, can’t go wrong with the Google recommendation.

Went to all the tourist activities, fished and sat by the fire pit. It was very quiet, private, just what we needed.

We are so happy to see the deer at the feeders and all the jumping fishing in the pond at feed time. We enjoyed a night around the fire, talking in a relaxing and another night in the hot tub parentheses even in this heat) really enjoyed our stay.

Fish had fun, loved the house and all the great amenities! PS the casino is great

We relaxed, ate, home-cooked meals, played games, enjoyed all the outdoor games, fished on the pond had fun writing the pedal boat walk the Neighbourhood, and watched LSU play Saturday night. Thank you for having everything labeled so wonderfully! Great cabin, love the waterfall, sinks too perhaps you could add some cookie sheets for baking in the kitchen. Thank you again.

We went fishing in the pond, kayaking on the river and visited the casino. Everyone had lots of fun and this is a 10 out of 10 recommendation. Everything in this cabin was nice and neat and super clean thank you.

Got lost in the base, almost died kayaking, visited the Safari and enjoyed the train ride among many other things such as losing money at the casino the kids really enjoyed finding seashells around the property, this cabinet is 10 out of 10 and highly recommend recommended

We saw all the deer at the deer feeder and loved watching the fish coming and eating. We also love the hot tub and the pedal boat.

Thank you for making firewood available here at the cabin for a dollar apiece, we burned 20 pieces and left $20 cash in the guest book.

We saw a baby deer, lots of fish in the pond, even caught one  ! Visited the state Park. I’d love to pizza at Grateful Dead pizza.

Gathered with family to celebrate my mom’s 50th birthday. Our time was very well spent enjoying all the amenities this cabin has to offer. We spent the entire trip at the cabin. This was perfect for our celebration. Thank you for your hospitality. Everything was perfect.

We fished, played darts, and went into town to explore, had s’mores by the fire pit. Maybe you could put a pool table somewhere …

Paddle boat in the pond or a huge hit! We hike the cedar Bluff Trail, and got great views. This is our second time staying at the cabin and it is hands-down our family’s favorite! Such a wonderful place. PS we used live worms for bait and caught 55 fish in one evening. How about that 🙂

We want to girls go on wine with mom, the boys took a fishing trip and we really just enjoyed our family time. This cabin is wonderful and we will be back.

And got engaged 🙂 did a lot of hiking had good weather we traveled from the colony near Frisco.

We really appreciate all the outdoor activities for my twin grandsons. We traveled from Rowlett and Wylie Texas to get here, glad we made the trip.

We are from Dallas, this is our Easter break for family time, fishing, bonfire – we really had a good time and the cabin had everything we need!

Our families traveled from Houston and Dallas, we did all the things, including the park! Loved all the fundamental here special details we will be back!

We fished, played games, enjoyed the backyard amenities, and the pedal boat of course. while in the backyard we saw a family of deer. Overall, it was a great day. House is so cozy and has amazing amount of kitchen appliances. Love the details in this house. Kids love the games upstairs and the foosball, perfect for our three families.

We loved our stay and look forward to returning soon! There is so much to do here at the cabin, we never got bored. It is a beautiful place and wonderfully equipped to make a family vacation truly special.

Spring break, time to hike, the mountains, go to horseback riding and almost didn’t make it out of the maze, had a good time and love the cabin

Fish, relaxed, floated in the hot tub, hung out by the fire pit, played disc golf read in the rocking chairs, played hide and seek, colored in books, watched movies, chilled out !!

We spent Christmas Eve and Christmas Day here, but a great cabin to kick back, play darts sit in the hot tub and have a couple of beers. We will be back.

We’re from Durant, Oklahoma, came over here to go horseback riding, checked out the petting zoo and the mining company also ate pretty darn good at the grateful head pizza and the Shuck Me oyster bar. Beautiful place to stay, thank you.

First night we settled into the cozy Living room + fireplace to watch Gladiator ! day two we hiked the Indian Trail, came back to the lodge to rest and played the games  and for dinner we went to the new five star Italian restaurant called Pressa 10/10, then checked out the New casino and then returned to HPL or a campfire, stories and laughs.

Wonderful stay with beautiful views! The kids were on the water from the time we woke up to bedtime, fishing. They even jumped in the water off the dock. We enjoyed cornhole and used the hot tub a few times. Above all,  we enjoyed relaxing here at the Cabin, a must for food is the grateful head pizza restaurant. We enjoyed mini golf, the maze,  petting zoo, and the drive-through animal park. We love this cabin!

Fantastic stay with so much fun, fishing + the hot tub, games in the yard, board games over the refrigerator. We did some four wheeling, hiked as we went hunting for beauty in nature! This was the ideal cabin for a large family with ages ranging from seven years to 67 years old. We love this cabin you thought of everything.

We enjoyed the Hoccatown saloon, ate at the grateful head pizza place and enjoy the beautiful scenery, thank you for this amazing experience.

We saw baby deer, fished and played all the games, went for a hike in the big park. I think it’s called the friends Trail… It really enjoyed the peace and quiet of this cabin.

Beavers band is beautiful!, We fished, we voted we played all the outdoor games, even hopped in the hot tub and made memories. Thanks for the great cabin.

This Cabin (Hidden Pond Lodge) was a blast, loved all the games for the kiddos, they loved fishing in the pond plus the paddle board boat. We did go to the big lake and hit the grateful head pizza place. Great vacation.

What a great way to end the summer, we played with all the toys here at the cabin, and lots of relaxing! What a gem of a cabin and having the beautiful pond on site absolutely made our stay amazing. Such a comfortable and cozy getaway we will be back, thank you

What did we do? We saw wildlife, fish and great scenery! Went to Broken Bow Marina for a boat rental, cooked at the cabin and took a lot of great pictures. This is an amazing Cabin for the entire family, can’t wait to plan another trip back!

This place is a true gem for families! The fish, deer, seashell hunting, and all the games. We loved it all. Thank you for being so creative and making this place special for families.

We were able to catch so many fish, kids and dad had a ton of fun. We rented a pontoon boat on the big lake. We cooked mostly here at the cabin, did go out for pizza and a bit of ice cream. Thank you for sharing this amazing property with us. We made so many memories as a family and enjoyed our time here together.

We rested, did some dock fishing at this cabin, even took in some standup paddle boards at the big lake. And more resting 🙂

What a weekend, we went zip lining, fishing at the cabin, ax throwing downtown, toured the petting zoo, and the new Choctaw casino. We had the best time ever.

We loved fishing, pedal, boating, spending the mornings at the beach area and cooking burgers on the grill. We are so grateful to find this little gem, the most special place to stay!

The goal of this trip was no agenda and freedom to do what we wanted.  We had little reason to leave the cabin other than to get bait for fishing in the pond (recommend nightcrawlers).  My kids, ages 18 -30, and their partners had everything they needed… a clean hot tub and darts under the covered deck during storms, a very large, fully-graveled yard with horseshoes, tetherball, fire pit, and other games, and the private fishing dock where blue gill, hybrid striped bass, and catfish were caught everyday.  We brought meals to prepare everyday and the kitchen had everything we needed.  Will definitely recommend this place to others (or maybe not so that it is available the next time we want to come to Hochatown 🙂

We really enjoyed the fishing pond, did a lot of fishing… Went to the maze, checked out Choctaw Casino, enjoyed all the outside games at the cabin, played hide and seek and loved the pedal boat – PS he put a ring on it 🙂

We didn’t get a single fish after fishing for three days straight, we used all baits, shrimp, worms, stink bait, minnows, jigs, flies… nothing!

However, we witnessed & can confirm the otters ate several fish !

We had an amazing time, perfect place to disconnect. The dock and the backyard was so wonderful! We saw 10 deer at the feeder around 7 AM. Loved all the indoor games.

Owners note, I will be restocking the pond earlier this year 🙂

We loved the cabin & plan on coming back again. Broken Bow is one of our favorite places to disconnect from the city.

Great place, we stayed in 5 to 6 different places before, by far this was the best place we stayed at. Love the stocked pond, caught lots of fish. Every morning and evening watched dear at the feeder. We will be back!

From the TeePee with lights to the books and games, our crew had the time of their lives. We stayed at the small cabin next-door and met the owner a couple of months ago. After he invited us to walk around Hidden Pond Lodge, we knew where we wanted to bring everyone later this summer. Grandkids are now fisherman!

Recommendations – Pls add campfire forks. I was sad because I left ours at home. The sand beach and paddle boat are fun. Be ware the H2O is cold but refreshing. Everything was perfect, string lights around the fire pit would be in nice since it gets pretty dark out there, however, even without them it was relaxing and beautiful. Hidden Pond Lodge what is the absolute perfect Cabin for our first family vacation, we will definitely be back!

This place is a little piece of Heaven on Earth! We had the best time and cannot wait to come back! It was pure relaxation the entire time and a great way to unplug from our busy lives! We are already trying to plan our next trip! My 6 year old daughter could not wait to wake up in the mornings and start fishing…in her pis! The tee pee was a huge hit and my kids even attempted to “camp” in it one night • This was our first family vacation- 5 adults, 2 kids (6 & 3), and a fur baby. It was the perfect size, so clean and well kept. We plan to make many more memories here!

Recommendations – Nothing ! This house is amazing! Had amazing things, enjoyed the lake, the kids had fun outside.

It was a great and relaxing getaway

This lodge immediately became a favorite for our family, and I plan on returning for years to come. We were there during winter, but it would be just as fun and beautiful to be there in a warm season. The 10 of us, which included 2 children and 4 teenagers, all slept very comfortably with plenty of space and warmth. (I hadn\’t slept that well in a long time.) There are more than enough linens, pillows, towels and hand soap, and the kitchen was a dream with a variety of appliances. You can fill yours days just spending time at the lodge, but we also enjoyed taking a hike at nearby Beaver\’s Bend State Park. GORGEOUS PLACE.

Everything was perfect, loved all the cooking supplies and well equipped kitchen.

I had a blast staying at the cabin in this cabin! The cabin was super cute with wood finishes and big windows to see the nature outside. It was cozy and had everything I needed. The location was perfect for exploring, there were tons of hiking trails and other outdoor stuff to do. The pond and deck set this place apart. The hosting company was super nice, they showed me everything and made sure I had everything I needed during my stay. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants a peaceful and fun getaway in nature.

Great Place

We had a great time with friends during our stay. Beds were very comfortable and kids had fun with the toys and Xbox provided by the cabin. We loved having our morning coffee on the doc overlooking the pond. Everything was very clean and well kept.

My friends and I had a wonderful time! The kids enjoyed playing outside on all the outdoor games and playground. The cabin is pristine with modern upgrades. Plenty of room for all to have a private space. Luxury in every room! You have the sense you are back in time living remote with the Natives, yet with modern amenities. I will definitely be reserving more time at the Hidden Pond Lodge.

We enjoyed Hidden pond very much, however, we could not get the Kerig coffee machine to work, it did not heat up for us. One suggestion, a small hand mixer. Thanks. Response from owner, we appreciate your comments and are glad you enjoyed Hidden Pond. We have replaced the Kerig machine and have placed a new electric handmixer in the cabin. Thank you for that suggestion.

We had a great time, lots to do, only flaw was the hot tub jets, but other than that we all had an absolute blast!

Experience was awesome. Also, the lady was so helpful in helping me book.

Good family cabin right off the pond. Hot tub worked well. DIRECTV was great because the Wi-Fi did not work the entire trip. Breads were very soft. Horseshoes were missing one steak so we could only play One Direction. Make sure and bring outdoor toys if you have younger kids is there aren’t many option.

Great amenities. Loved all the TVs. Love the hot tub and fire pit. Love the Foos ball!! Should improve mattresses, need to provide more spoons in the silverware.

Just perfect

Only thing that was confusing, it said turn right on spur, but there was no street sign. So everyone missed that street but other than that great place and fun time. We have been four times to Broken Bow cabins and in three of the cabins the beds were so loud when you got on them. I don’t know why… But it was clean and love the cabin. Owners response – Hello Angel, sorry for the squeaky Bedds, we just replaced all boxsprings and two mattresses.

Had a great time here with my family for Father’s Day weekend. Everybody had a blast.

This cabin is awesome, clean, beautiful, and spacious!! The beds weren’t as comfortable as we would’ve all liked, but everyone sleeps differently. The loft was great as well. The grandkids loved all the space and beanbag chairs, TV, and games, really beautifully made.

Renting was easy and efficient. Very quick and helpful process!

Our group had a great weekend, staying in this cabin. It was clean inside and out and no problem with it at all, I would highly recommend staying here and we will definitely be back.
